You decide before you know how the weather's gonna be?

Nowadays all we seem to do is tournament fish so if there isn’t a small craft advisory we are going.

Saturday looks decent. I think I'll start sniffing around for a boat to ride on.

I've never fished offshore. Do you folks that do it often get used to the chop and don't need dramamine or some other stuff to keep from getting sick?

    Haven’t used anything in 20yrs. It’s 95% mental.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Took dramamine the first few times because I was terrified by the horror stories. Turned out it was the dramamine making me feel uneasy. Haven't touched it since, but do prefer to get something on my stomach on the way out.

The only time I have been sick was when I dipped. I was cleaning the decks on the way in, and slipped and fell with a full mouth of dip spit and dip. Swallowed it all. I prayed for a bullet for the next five hours.

Most seasick I’ve been was in 2’ seas on a 62’ boat. Rather be called a pussy by some rednecks than sick all day!

Felt gross one morning going out kingfishing one morning when I was like 13 on a 20 ft Grady, small craft advisory ended up being called.. along with my cousin who was the same age. I was perfect after that for over twenty years, then I was on a sportfisher about that size.. small craft called, 55 degrees and rainy, I couldn't catch sight of any horizons.. I threw up once, drank some rock and rye, and caught fish wearing a greasy coat. It was a f'n miserable day.

Only time I've been sick is when we went rolling out bottom fishing in your 17' High Tide with some decent swells ... Laying on your console seat wasn't comfortable.
