    Default My new 22

Well gents my old 22 rifle has officially died... gunsmith simply said its not an easy fix and you could easily buy a new for what you will spend on this one.

SO... which 22 should I buy for my new one???(doesn't have to be brand new as most the new stuff isnt as good as the old)

    Suggestions?

I haven't shot one but I like the looks of the Winchester Wildcat. If money isn't a big deal, I'd buy this...

    Remington Nylon 66 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=160678276

or a Remington 550-1 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=160744512 grew up shooting one of these, fun little gun.

If yo dont mind a bolt action, a CZ 452 is tough to beat. Get him while you can before the 455 comes out.

Those CZs are pretty nice. I shot one a couple months ago - I was impressed with the accuracy. The fact that it had a supressor make it even cooler.

I've got a Remington (single shot), 2 Marlins (bolt and lever), and a Stevens (pump). I like the lever and pump guns based on how fun they are to shoot. The downside to those 2 guns is the tubular magazine, which can be a pain. I'm thinking about a Savage for my next one.

CZ 452 x2. Hands down the most accurate gun I own, of any caliber. Other than a little trigger work, its straight out of the box, Leuopold 2-7 rimfire scope.

The CZ's are nice, but if you are looking for a semi auto tube fed, I would highly recommend the Marlin Model 60. Cant beat them. I picked up my last one from a pawn shop for $60. Took a can of gun scrubber to the action and it is as good as new.

A Ruger 10/22 has more upgrade parts available than any other. You can put together your own personalized shooter with aftermarket bolt on parts. Check out www.rimfirecentral.com to find info on any rimfire you consider.

For Most Fun 22- Ruger 10/22 hands down

For General Cheap Decent- the tbe fed Marlin

For Cool Points- lever Henry Pimped 22

For Dead Nutz Accurate- i'd go with the CZ or the Ruger bolt gun

that being said I own 2 Ruger 10/22's and love them little sumbitches

sooooo- my point would be- like wimmenz.... why limit yourself to just one??

If you are just looking for a decent .22, the Marlin Model 60 is hard to beat for the money. There are better guns out there, but they cost more.

I like 10/22's. My wife and I each have one.

However, I do enjoy my suppressed 77/22 better. Even w/out the suppressor, I prefer it. Due to it being a bolt action, of course, it'll eat ANYTHING!

Marlin 880SQ has been discontinued by marlin, but if you can get your hands on one, i would highly recommend it. Reasonably priced and very accurate. I put a head shot on a squirrel with mine at 63 yards.

If you hold the Nylon 66 at just the right angle it will shoot full auto. Everyone of them will do it. The trick is finding the exact angle.

If I were to get another one, I would look into the Browning Buckmark Rifle.
