CORMORANT RECIPE
Clean cormorant- soak in salt water for a few hours 8 hours is plenty- helps pull the blood out the meat- lightly coat with olive oil then add seasoning- salt, pepper, creole seasoning or BBQ rub then-Put duck on clean oak board, place 2-3 strips hickory smoked bacon on top then put in oven at 375 until done -take out and let it rest for 10 minutes then throw away the cormorant and eat the board and bacon.

The GW told us wednesday that if he caught anyone shooting a water turkey he was going to make them eat it and then write them a ticket.

Chuck, the African geese have steadily been migrating up the Catawba chain of lakes. I recently saw some on Monticello, which is a first.I'd vote for an early season so we have something to shoot at.

You aint been out much if you are seeing some on Monticello. Go South a few miles and it looks like AR snow geese flying around except it is the infamous water turkeys.

They have always been pretty amazing to watch at the upper dam on Lake Wateree. I've been watching them for 15 years at least, and I'm sure they've been there alot longer. I've seen plenty of people shoot at them around Cedar Creek, and they've always called Pterodactyls by my old hunting buddies for a third name.
