I avoid 378 at all costs. You can't get from Conway to Columbia on that road anymore.

    St. Stephen is another one.

No doubt its a speed trap. And their rates are sky high.

But its hard to listen to the director of the progressive network explain to me about how the government is robbing people.

I agree it is theft. But if you clocked me in an honest manner and offered me double the fine and no points I'd take that deal every time.

Yeap, its probably costing most people less in the long run. And before people say I don't care about points, your insurance does.

I talked to an officer that was dealing with people trying to get around I-95 during the flood. He said people were flying through the little town and they were pulling them over left and right. But he gave them all a choice. He explained to them all they were going to get a ticket, but that he was going to ask them a question in order to determine which ticket they got. And suggested that they think about it before answering.

The question was if they were wearing their seatbelt when he pulled them over. Most said, oh yes sir I was. And they got a speeding ticket instead of a seatbelt violation which is $15 or $25.

I don't pass thru there much these days, and I do believe the last mayor changed their revenue collection process a bit,, however they earned the moniker fair and square in their hey day. I will always drag the brake between their traffic light and yield sign.

Wow! I don't what to say about what that officer and town are doing. I am sure that is illegal.

McBee should definitely be on the speed trap list. What a joke!

The basic jist of what Turbeville is doing is writing for town ordinances and by doing that they say the state isn't entitled to any money from the citations.

How is it different than an officer writing a ticket for 9 mph over when you are doing 15 over? Or saying you have multiple violations but you are just getting charged with one?
