When shooting divers, I usually take all the decoys I can fit in the boat.

I have foamed some old mallards that are painted like divers.

Eventually I want all foam or foam filled divers.

I have looked at Avian. My only complaint is there are no blue bills. Unless I have just flat missed them. I'd love to be wrong.

You are wrong they have blue bills

With divers I've found its about having the right spread size and not decoy size.

Ding ding ding. Spray painted mallards are the way yo go

I'm trying to be poetic guys. I want diver decoys that are mags. I can't find it in my heart to turn even the ugliest mallard decoys into a diver. I guess I'm just a purest.

It never ceases to amaze me how little the majority of this site knows about killing ducks.

Realistic, magnum, diver decoys........ You are a decoy manufactures wet dream

Again. It is really crazy how opinions differ on the subject.

My original diver spread was a raggedy looking bunch of plastic. I killed some birds. Like I said last year I bought some quality decoys and my season got better.

I also spend most of my time looking at the stupid things. They might as well look good. And yes they look good in my shed!

Hot buy mallards painted black and white. Lots of em. Killed divers of all types over them. I've got close to a hundred Herters bluebills but it takes a barge to transport them.

My bad. I didn't realize it was the decoys. Not a chance it could have been a timing thing since all ducks migrate like clock work. Plus you saw someone kill them over magnums bo!!! Not a chance that he was better hidden or that the ducks moved locations based on outside factors like wind, tide or food. Nope it was the magnums bo!

So you don't have an opinion on a magnum decoy that is tuff and floats?
