You'll kill shit, go around thanksgiving
“… duckhunting stands alone as an outdoor discipline. It has a tang and spirit shared by no other sport—a philosophy compounded of sleet, the winnow of unseen wings, and the reeks of marsh mud and wet wool. No other sport has so many theories, legends, casehardened disciples and treasured memories.”

I've been with him twice. He's as good of a guy as you will meet. He's did all he could to put us on ducks each trip.

Sometimes the hunting down there can be more like dove hunting than duck hunting tho. But thats just how that lake is.

I heard they weren't putting any water on Catahoula this year...probably won't be any water to hunt out there this season.

i have a love/hate relationship with duck hunting on catahoula lake...we killed ducks (most of the time) but there are so many damn people and blinds every 200 yards...its more like a dove shoot than duck hunt..i would rather pay a little more money to go have a quality hunt somewhere else..you dont need a guide on that lake btw

Is it like that during the week or just the weekends and holidays?

I've heard only good reports about Bill Lamb myself.

Bill lamb - (318) 452-0018. Hunted with him last two years 4 days each time. He and his dad do a good job of getting you on the ducks. Most of his guys do a good job also. I think he has 3 or 4 other guys that help him and his dad out. Would prefer to hunt with his dad if it was my pick. He was my favorite guide.

We're suppose to go Dec. 4-7. I've heard a lot of good about him.

I willl be out there opening day. Going a few days early to put decoys out. Hope I will hunt our blind at least four different trips. Yea it is crowded but the ducks (when they are there) dont seem to mind. I have met Bill several times and he is a jam up fella. If he's booked send me a PM and I will give you another guides name and number.
