    Default NC Trout Season Opener

Anyone heading to NC for the opener this week? An annual tradition for me and the weather is looking good so far. Ill be at the Davis River National Park outside of Brevard. Fishing the Mills, Davis, and Dupont Rec area.

Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

Im sorry let me rephrase this for you, Trout season is opening back up Saturday. They dont close a river. Appreciate the smart ass comments. Hell is hot and SC Ducks is filled with fucking comedians.

I think the Davis River National Park is gonna be tough to find.

    Fishing is probably good though.

    Did you catch anything?

Im sorry its taken so long I was banned for a short period, I wont respond when it comes to the POTUS or first lady anymore Ive learned my lesson.

Anyways we had another amazing weekend on the Davidson and Mills rivers. Over 200 fish caught between the 6 of us in 3 days. The cooler pic is only of those we kept. Right at 107 in the cooler cleaned ready for the grease. We released the rest. The biggest fish for the weekend I caught was right at 16in no monsters but a great time as I always look forward to breaking out the fly rod. We fished a little of the Wild trout waters and caught fish regular as well. the worm flies were hot in pink or red under a strike indicator. I caught more fish with that combo then any other. They were hitting emergers and dry flies but the worms pulled them out consistently. The biggest fish came from the Mills as to be expected from a catch and release only stream. But all in all a great weekend, cant wait to go back.
