    4x4 is necessary
Not only for fields but also in case it snows.

4X4 truck is necessary. Most of the roads in NoDak are gravel. Some are little more than trails and can get sloppy if it rains much.

Don't take the Kansas city route in a 2 day hard north wind ....we lost 5 mpg once we turned north ...drove all day straight into 40+ mph north wind ...couldn't figure out why fuel mileage dropped so bad at first.... trailer was like a damn parachute
It was a three dog night, and I ain't got but one dog, me and him both damn near froze.
