    Default Missing QB dll file....

    What's the best way to repair this as I am all of the sudden missing the MSVCR100.dll file?
    I don't want to download some registry repair tool that will cause more problems than it solves!
    This is QB Pro 2014, so if need be I could remove the app and reinstall.

    First thing I would do is backup all my data files.

    It looks like it's a Microsoft file rather than a Quicken file. It might still have been included in the QB install.

    If that doesn't work I'd ry to repair QB or uninstall and reinstall.

    Tell me what version of Windows and I'll try to help you find the link to download.

    Do that. Make sure you have your files backed up on a flash drive or somewhere safe.

    I'll give you the same answer I give my assistant when she asks me a computer question "Call the help line."

    She quit asking questions a few years ago.

    That right there.

    It's included in the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package.
    QB does originally make sure it's installed. But you can also get it straight from MS site and leave QB alone.
    Which download link depends on your version of windows.

    *and why it's missing is a totally different story

    Try these links depending on if you are 32 or 64 bit.

    ------------------------------------

    msvcp100.dll missing error is associated with Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable.

    For 64 bit OS, download from this link below:*
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x64):*
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl....aspx?id=13523

    For 32 bit OS, download from the below link below:

    Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86):
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...s.aspx?id=8328
