    Why would it be hotter in that corner? Go back and look at the pics in post #20. There are no slits cut in the piece of pipe that brings the gas in or the piece of pipe that connects the 2 long burners.

    What kind of thermometer did you go with and did you try to seal the area around it at all?

    A big faced round stainless glow in the dark that I found on eBay. It's crazy bright too with larger numbers so my old ass can sit in my chair and watch it. I will put up a pic when I get a chance. Thanks for all the nice compliments.

    An incredible job there, ecu1984. The amount of 'hidden talent' around here is just amazing!

    Btw, if anyone is looking for a similar 250/275 gal oblong tank like that one, my neighbor has one sitting behind his round pen that he's never put any fuel in since I gave him the tank 15 odd years ago. I suspect he'd like to get rid of it one of these days.
