That is the DIC Drivers informationc center. Hit the top button to get to you average MPG and it will tell you on the right if its in V8 or V4.

It doesn't show it on Average MPG, switch it to Instant MPG and it'll say v8 or v4 along side the mpg number

I've got an '07.5 and have had the lifters replaced by the dealer after a service bulletin. I took it in because it was burning oil b/t changes. Service was done around the 55k mark. I'm now at about 75k and have added oil b/t changes.

I'm curious about improved MPG claims. Any idea how this is actually achieved? I'd consider the $300 fix, but don't wanna sacrifice my (already shitty) MPG.

Any improvements on torque that you know of?

    Thanks!

From experience with a 2007 1500 with a 6.0VMAX with AFM. Either turn it off or get rid of the truck. Dealer replaced lifters twice under warranty, third time said the lifters collapsed but it was not the same issue. First and last GM product I will ever buy, Gladly back in an F150.

I just sold a 2009 1500 that was burning a quart of oil every thousand miles. Trying making it 5k to an oil change on that nonsense.

KRT if you can cut it back on for when I need to take my 2014 back to the dealer please tell me what I need to do to make an appointment for this $300 cure.

Thats his trick. Turn it back on for a trip to the dealer, then its another $300 for him to turn it back off.. hahahahahah Good plan there my man!

New cam, no grooves or flat spots

Cam scored and notice the lip where the brown is on edges. It's flat spotted.

KRT, have you ever taken apart a 5.7L Hemi? I know their MDS always shuts down the same 4 cylinders so I'm curious if that makes them wear differently.
