    Default climbing stix.....

Just bought 3 sets of these and impressed!
They are well built and the price is right compared to Lone Wolf.

How big are the footsteps? Reason I ask is some of those sticks steps are so narrow and thin it makes climbing them difficult. I wear a size 11, which isn't that big, and just prefer a little beef with my step. If you approve, I might have a set on the way as well. Great price.

Are they roughened up on top or something? They look like you could easily slip and impale your leg on one.

I don't use steps normally so I'm asking out of ignorance...

they're rock solid and no different in size than lone wolf steps...about foot width and 3/8" wide.....
    i definitely would recommend them!

Gotcha... they're much heavier duty than the first pictures appeared.

    Thanks!

Just curious Cali, why would you prefer these over a stick?

Because I can put the short stick up a crooked tree if I need to...

Art, before I went to the short stix I bought about 7 sets of stacking Gorilla stix. Without a doubt the best ever made and they quit making them the following year. The steps would pivot like the Lone Wolf. When I started on the short Lone Wolf's, I was hooked...you can put em on a crooked tree, offset them form one another around a limb ro whatever!

Yeah. I think this is the way that I will go from now on. I have been using the leaf river 20 foot sticks, and I have been a little limited in tree selection. I like to hunt in the 20-24' range, so I would need at least one extra. Looks like u could hang one pretty quick. You can also hunt a little lower cause you can leave more limbs on the tree. ThNks for the heads up Cali.

I can hang 4 sticks and a stand in about 5 minutes if no cutting or special considerations are involved.
I haven't hunted a climber in many, many years!
