I read somewhere some years ago, I think it was a DU mag, where some guy found a dead black duck in Novia Scotia (I think) with a band and it was 29 yrs old. Now maybe they couldn't verify it, I always figured that the guy probably found the band in his grandpa's desk drawer and turned it in making up the story about finding the bird dead.
Obviously that doesn't fit with the age of the black you posted, so who knows.

I got this out the winter Delta mag. I have no idea how they came up with the numbers other than they were from band records.
