Hilarious!!!
Decided to break a little ice this morning and hit the swamp to kill a few woodies before work. We've been hunting the little hole for about 4 years and never had anybody come in across the branch from us till this morning. We watched three young boys come in and start throwing out decoys and a floating mojo mallard so we hit em with the light to let em know where we were and just make sure they and us would be safe. No problem...not gonna run some young fellas trying to do a little hunting away. We had plenty of room.
Anyway, about five minutes before shooting time they start blowing the mallard call like crazy! I look over at my buddy and give him the "WTF" look and laugh cause we've never seen a mallard in here. All of a sudden 2 snipes buzz their spread and all three unload on them and fold em up right across the branch!!! As i look over at them, the ring leader of the three looks over at his buddies and says "That mojo has got em bailing in here boys!!! Get Ready!!!" Needless to say, I didnt even fire the gun but thats probably the best hunt I've been on all year! We left em in there so we could get to work and they were still wailing on the duck calls! I'll give em an A for effort...they were playing the part!
