So I get a letter telling me I have to have the backflow preventers tested- How often do they do this? What is the average cost for such a test? Anyone on here know one of the "certified" testers you have to use?

Never had to do this Turdly, been on Greenville Water all my life. What's their reason?

Of course he does. Greenville used to put the meters in themselves when you added a separate meter for an irrigation system or they would give it to you to install yourself. Then they started this racket to where it's about $1500-$2K to get another put in. The BFP's are a whole 'nother story altogether...tried to warn ya
