Thanks his fix is what I was going to do, might as well do it to my wifes 4runner also.

The seals are not that bad if you got a place to do it. I plan to do the fix myself along with adding an external tranny cooler. Many reports in the 97-02 4runner models with the radiator and tranny cooler mixing fluids due to a leak in the radiator. Of course only a problem in autos.

My Tacoma is the 06 double cab prerunner, the wife has the 09 4 runner sport.
