Default marlin model 80 scope mount

Any suggestions on how to go about mounting a scope on a marlin model 80 bolt action .22 without drilling and tapping?

Its an old gun that was never tapped for a base and i dont want to spend more than the gun is worth having it tapped. And i want it to be in original condition.

It has a small rail like you would find on a bb gun or something. I usually only use it shooting shorts so shock knocking around the scope isnt really an issue.

Might be a totally unreasonable idea but thought i would ask if somebody had figured out a way before i jusy buy a new gun.

I believe you would have to drill and tap. I have the same gun basically - Glenfield Model 20, and was searching a while back for a cheap option to add a scope.
