I killed a snow goose back in 98 in Berkeley County.
A buddy of mine hunting with me last year killed a brant in the saltwater.
Saw sandhill cranes last year at the Sav Wildlife Refuge.
Nutz and I were just a few mins late on the sandhill cranes 3 yrs ago.lol

hunted with winyah-jay last year and had a flock of 300 snows fly over. broke out the goose flute and broke one off. bastard circled at 90yds at least 7 times. If i would of had 1 goose decoy out i believe the deal would of been sealed. I now put out 2 goose decoys every hunt.

The first time I ever took Little Rubberhead duck hunting with me (he was about 5 or 6) I called in a flock of well over 100 snows and blues. The came in perfectly. I shot twice and missed; I really don't know how but I missed.

Then, to add insult to injury, the little guy look at me like "how could you have missed that?" He was so mad that he turned his back on me. Ouch.

I did make up for it by killing a black over the decoys the same morning, though. I'd rather have a black than a snow goose anyway - I'm sure the snow goose meat would be sour.
