    Default iPod Touch

    alright you techno gurus. i'm in the market for a new ipod after my old one got jacked from my truck. i really like the ipod touch, and am looking at the 8 and 32 gig. i do have itunes that i will transfer over to the device, but otherwise am wanting to use this as a blackberry type deal without the phone. be able to browse the internet, do email, etc. with ease. My question is this: will the 8 gig do everything i want it to do? I would much rather get this than the 32, it's about a hundred bucks more.

    i got the 8 gig touch the year before i went to an iphone. it will do all the email and internet stuff but you gotta be in a wifi area.

    shotty-i have around 1000 now but will definitely need room to expand.

    also, what is the difference between the 2nd and 3rd generations? A 16GB one would be perfect, but for some reason those are all 2nd generation.

    The size and the 3rd gen has an external speaker.

    I have the 8 gig 3rd gen and it's just fine. I am no where near full capacity, but I suppose it depends on how many songs you think might have.

    oh yeah......the external speaker sucks.....

    You should be fine with an 8 gig...with plenty of room to still get a few apps and stuff
