Went to my favorite WMA this morning. Had a medium sized doe come in. Let her walk at about 7yds. I was packing my stuff to leave and noticed a deer walking behind me along the edge of the drainage I was hunting. Another medium sized doe, but I decided to take her home with me.
The shot was awesome. Drew whenever she was behind a bush. Stopped her, placed pin, and let arrow fly. Hit her right behind the shoulder. She took three leaps then stopped. Twitched her tail then rocked back and forth three times and hit the ground. Never moved again. So, fresh meat this morning.
Shot was about 12-15yds. I was about 12ft up in the tree. Right behind the shoulder, broad side shot. Another four finger entrance and exit hole. Total pass through. Arrow went half it's length into the ground after passing through the doe. Don't have many pictures b/c my camera decided to save only three of the about seven that I took.
