Default Corn losses to non-target species?

What percent of your duck field corn do you lose to 'coons, deer, hogs, squirrels?

10 percent before I apply for dep. permits. After a week or two, a doe isn't going to step foot across a face drain.

    Good Poll!

We will lose close to half when the hogs move in. Gets worse every year...

Wow! Looks like I'm not the only one losing corn to the critters!

I found that when you plant 2 to 3 days before you shoot, you don't lose as much. You just plant in shallow water and don't cover it up....a little risky though.

We were losing more than half to hogs until we exclosed our fields. Now we are losing less than 2% to deer and coons. So far it has been the best investment we have ever made. Watching the unfenced fields going down all around the exclosures has been a sight to see. Of course, once those fields are cut and gone, and all that is left is the corn inside the fence... Who knows what those crafty sons a bitches will figure out. If worse comes to worst, I reckon we can dump a bunch of pound/road dogs inside the fence and that should keep them out once and for all...
