Well Squatty, hope you all got him in front of the barrel!!!
Well Squatty, hope you all got him in front of the barrel!!!
he was in there...and he was quiet. gobbled a few times for us....about once every hour we were in there. he is big and old and wily...
and then, squatty's calling kinda sucks so I had to get him fired up with some gobbling of my own and then squatty wanted to move towards the two jakes gobbling and I just got tired of dealing with him and came on home...
or something like that. dang bird is impossible to kill....but i am taking my 8yr down in there tomorrow and watch him come on a string....or one of those jakes is welcome to get a little headache from my boy, too.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
I'll at least give it to the Dr. With the exception of him having to go back to the Buggy for his phone he actually had enough patience to sit in the woods 'til 10:30. As for the Jakes.....they were back at the buggy and I did not go back to the buggy. This old bird is one tough, smart mud'da! I knew we were jinxed when I saw this thread yesterday
I hope the boy waxes his butt in the moun'n!

You've got one life. Blaze on!
you need to get you some "6' tall wheat"
He's a swamp bird

the one i killed was too... he just made a mistake when he ventured out and tried his luck as a field bird....lol
All the voices in my head tell me he will come to the field. However the Dr. says he will not come to the field. I think if we had 6' tall mound of feed wheat that might help

It's known as broadcast mounding of wheat and it's widely considered a normal agricultural practice - especially in the vicinity of southern Spartanburg.
I don't need my name in the marquee lights....
