Don't forget the string and dryer sheets.
If it ain\'t accurate at long distance, then the fact that it is flat shooting is meaningless.

Not sure if the "string and dryer sheets" comment is serious or tongue-in-cheek humor....
Around here, sunflowers are to deer as opiates are to addicts. Once the deer get a taste, you're in for a fight.

We planted last Sat. hope to see some poking their heads up soon. Try a little something called pocinite not sure if thats spelled right, but it works for the deer problem.

Does everyone use a planter, or just disc it up, spread the seeds then drag the ground to cover 'em up?

How bout fertilizer/ lime? What's best and when to apply. Trying to start a DIY job here...

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

youre killing yourself it you dont use a planter.
drills will work too, if you get the spacing right by blocking some of the downspouts.

lime wont do you any good this late. apply next fall or winter.
fertilzer should be spread just before planting.
