    Default # 3 Groud Checked!

Nothing too special...the average 2 year old bird but a in your lap kinda hunt over by 0700!
The wind was blowing and it was very cool. Birds gobbled a few times in the tree starting @ 0630, he flew down and straight through the hardwood hill, across the firebreak and into the burned pine woods, gobbled 4 times real quick, half strut (knew he was young @ that point) @ 40 yards. When he made it to 35 yards he was headed towards a buddy 60 yards away who hasn't killed a bird this year (poor sucker)...I thought about letting him go on over but then thought about Murphy's Law and wild turkeys! Sure as hell if I let him pass he will either turn back into the woods with the real nookie or turn behind me and between us and no one shoots.....BLAM, I ground checked him @ 32 steps!
    Good hunt....bout 17#, 10", 7/8" & 1"
