Where did you buy your Solu Cal from?

At $62 a bag for Solucal you can buy almost 8 bags of pel lime.

talk to your rep/salesman about how much of their product equals dolomitic lime. I see that some in here have said 1ton = 8 tons. The stuff we bought was 1 ton = 2 tons. At the end of the day it is how much you need to adjust pH per acre, not how much volume you put out since it comes down to the concentration. It was super easy to spread with a whirly bird, way better in super small plots. Some types of prilled lime do indeed raise calcium. We have some plots where we decreased the rate because we didn't want to raise calcium. We found it in one ton (Helena) and 50lb bags (Nutrien), so call around and get what you need. if you go 1ton route, make sure your whirly bird can handle it because we couldn't cut our bags off half way like we wanted to.
