    Default HVAC guys help

Tore out a leaking range hood vent to replace it and came across this. 12x4 rectangle hard duct. What type of fitting, reducer, adapter, etc can I find to go from the 12x4 rectangle to round? I would prefer 6” round, twss. Thanks in advance

Sounds like you need a register duct, but what do I know.

Are you really a roofer if you don't just leave that vent blowing in the attic?
