Yep tax office first…they print personal tax receipt…you pay it…then go to dmv to register

if it's your boat and you just need to renew, then pay tax online and print receipt and take to DNR
If you just bought it, then you will need a tax bill created at the tax office counter and then will pay it
and take receipt to DNR
You can do it thru the app.
Disregard the above. You can RENEW thru the app.
Well, you can once the slack asses at the county check the box that shows DNR that you’ve paid your taxes…..

I mail my tax payment in and in two weeks had the new sticker for the boat.
If the boat is from out of state AND has never been registered in SC, then you skip the tax office and go directly to DNR. MG

Bill of sale, pic of vin numbers, fees, DNR office in Columbia\Clemson
Low country redneck who moved north
must be notarized if from out of state
Title and bill of sale and pencil trace or photo of Hull ID numbers
I could be wrong but I dont think it matters as
it's the seller's signature being notarized
I haven’t notarized out of state outboard purchases and that was never a problem
