We just got back from a great week at the beach, most of which was spent on the beach. Per usual I only went in the water to pee though...slightly ironic I suppose. My family is all well and have no communicable diseases from all the feces.
Also caught a really nice mess of feces covered Pompano one day that made for a nice addition to an already planned seafood dinner. No diarrhea to report.
We don't call it Dirty Myrtle for nothing.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

Over the years I've read about "surprisingly discovered" bypass or 'magic pipes' originating @ STP facilities during excavation.
As small as 6" and in excess of 12".
Every facility had them built in for just incase situations. (not on any drawings either)
Homes near the coast/rivers with dug septic drains/systems aren't part of any testing program.
MA requires a septic system be dug into & inspected prior to selling.
Pretty much a guaranteed forced system renewal due to inspectors failing virtually all of them.
The South Park pee in the water park episode comes to mind

Baby girl and I kept bumping into feces covered pompano over the weekend. We survived.
