I would imagine there was a strong odor from "something" the dealer tried to cover up and just couldn't get rid of quickly. It will eventually go away or you can try the ozone machines etc. Don't fret about it. It only makes life's simple worries greater. If it was barely noticeable on the test drive then it will clear up with the windows down sitting in the driveway. I wouldn't worry about it.

My wife walked into the living room after getting dressed and said she had sat in the car for only about five minutes this morning and her sinuses were burning again.

I called the dealer in Greenwood and he was nice enough to tell me to bring it back, which Mud Duck and I are doing right now. I’ll find another one. It’s just not worth the risk if passing on the dealer’s offer and holding all the risk, especially if my wife can’t/won’t drive it.

Thanks for everyone’s thoughts and suggestions… and even 2th’s sarcastic prayers.

I’ll give this dealer credit… Perry Goldman @ Maxwellton Motors. He’s only the second car dealer I’ve met that I think is trustworthy. Hopefully there are more out there.

I never had any doubt your prayers were for the seller. I know you better than to believe otherwise.

Staying married wasn’t my incentive. She deserves to have a nice, safe, enjoyable vehicle for her travels.
