    Default Driveway Gravel

Looking for best option for driveway gravel?

It's going to be bordered with timbers. Drive way and parking area. I like 57, but a lot of people have told me not to go that route due to it getting stuck in your tires all the time.

We put in one for my mother and used reclaimed asphalt millings and it has held up really well. After being driven one, heated up, driven on some more it get pretty pavement like after a while.

That is also an option due to the company redoing a huge parking lot near by. I think it's $400 a load.

This is actually for a friend. She likes rocks better than the millings, but she's not 100% against it.

This. And it won’t wash once you get it to that point like stone will. If you were in the upstate, I could probably hook you up. We’re hauling 50-60 loads/day.

Mine is limestone pea gravel. No complaints other than freshening it up every few years.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

57s would be overpriced for a driveway. If she is dead set on crushed stone the trucking cost is going to be expensive as there are very few quarries East of Columbia.

    Economically go with asphalt milling.

Especially when you spray diesel fuel on it and roll it.

I love that shit. Until I leave it in a pile for a month or more and then it's like a pallet of quikcrete that got rained on then had a yard and a half of concrete dumped on top.

Thats what I'm currently getting in the Charleston area. They get it from Nucor in Berkeley County. I've put down about 60tons of #4 building a driveway so far. will top it with 57 or ROC when I get the base finished.

I am in the upstate and going to need to get mine redone soon. Hit me up with a price on a load!

Depends on where we have work going on but typically always have work in Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson counties. Venture to Cherokee, union, Lauren, Oconee and Pickens as well, just not as regularly. We keep it to recycle through our new asphalt. We do however give a few loads away here and there as favors for parking on property, etc. if I’m going to be able to Give anybody some, you’d need to be close to one of our current projects.
