Just Damn.
Growing up over on this side the Savannah river meant We saw the ABB a lot. Music of my youth. My girls grew up listening to them and are big fans.
I have bought quite a few vinyl copies of “ Eat a Peach’’
Live at Fillmore East is a great LP too.
Any ABB fans, If y’all ever pass through Macon, a trip by the Big House is a must do.

There certainly are a number of old gospel songs that are beautiful, but as far as something a little more contemporary, this song comes to mind. When my FIL passed a few months ago at the age of 82, the song seemed appropriate in many ways.
These lyrics in particular, "And wade through muddy waters one last time And in my dreams I come out clean".
If I understand them correctly "muddy waters" symbolizes a person that maybe had some tough times and made some bad choices along the way but realizes it and asks for God's forgiveness.
It's a beautiful song IMO.
- "My dad used to tell me that nothing good happens when you take your AR to an out of town riot. Or maybe it was that nothing good happens after 1:00 in the morning. I can't remember any more." - Wob
- "Any thought of romance went out the window when I saw the Ohio plates" - Squirrel Master

As far as old school gospel, this one has always been one of my favorites.
"My resume is the trail of destruction behind me. " Bucky Katt
Just for Nitro. Don't know why they are upside down

I can't decide between Requiem in D minor or Brokedown Palace
Long time friend of our family died few years ago, great fun loving guy that grew up with my sister
Last song of his funeral was “Prop me up beside the juke box when I die”. If you knew him it was perfect ending to his funeral
