    Default Which DNR waterfowl hunt.....

    ...sites did you apply for?

Now that the deadline is (almost) past, which sites were your top three choices?

What factors were most important to you? (duck per gun average, species in bag, location, other?)

For me it was, in order: Sandy Beach, Samworth, Santee Coastal - Cape
Location was most important, followed by duck/gun average.

Sandy Beach and Samworth did not make my top ten.

IMHO, The Cape opening day, Nov 26, would be my first choice, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Lets just say we looked at stats and made very restrictive selections. I'm not gonna put borderline hunts down as options on something I only get to do every 2-3 years.

Squatty, I saw the story about your banded Pintail, in the magazine. Great story! It's always great to share those life experiences with loved ones.
