    Default Lang Smokers

I've been wanting to add a traditional offset cooker to my cooking. I've been eyeing the Lang 46's pretty hard and waching marketplace for awhile since the lead times are pretty significant on them from the factory.

Who owns ones and how much do you like it and anything that bothers you with them? I am generally cooking for 15-30 people when using the bigger grill but a couple times of year gets pushed to 200 folks. I want more space so adding this to the Alveron will help. I would like to be able to cook 5-10 butts on it but it does not look that tall from all the pictures ive been seeing, i maybe wrong.

    Thanks in advance. TJ

I have an Old Country Smokehouse with which I have an intimate relationship. That's about all I can add. And I often cook for 3-9 people.
I don't need my name in the marquee lights....

I have three 84"s and had a Gen 1 that I sold. I almost bought a 48" on a trailer about a year ago. If I get another that's probably what it would be. Cooking for 200 people might be a stretch on a 48".

I have a bigger alveron and a carter about the same size. Im actually trying to figure out my end goal here of whether I want all Alveron on a trailer or a Lang and Alveron for the mutiple uses.

My current Alveron is already stretched when cooking for over the 150 mark with a warmer box. But im not set on having a bigger alveron and the smaller one on a trailer to do everything, that was my original intention.

I only do this for fun but have a large work group and enjoy doing it on occasion for friends.

Next time I cook for a Kevin I’ll invite you down the road. That falls in the 15 people category 2th.
