"Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs.
I am haunted by waters" Norman Maclean.
The bream I caught this weekend had eggs. They weren't totally ripe but it won't be long. The bass I caught a couple weeks ago were in full-on laying mode.
I was always told that bream start bedding the first full moon in May but I think it's probably really April when they start.
I had bream fillets for supper. I'm still in the afterglow of a supper of fresh fish and a tomato pie with a slight cabernet buzz.
If bream got to be 10 pounds, nobody would know what they look like unless they washed up dead from natural causes.
If it will stop raining and the stocked creek in front of my house will settle down, it’ll be game time in a few days for the trout.
Very nice!
Awesome. Need to make that happen in a few weekends. I always heard the first full moon of May as well.
