First glance it's shitty. But, maybe she battled addiction for those years and beat it. Maybe it defined who she was during Tee's formative years and they overcame it and both are prospering. Maybe she wears beating a drug addiction as a badge of honor and a major factor in her and her son's lives. I doubt espn just ran with it without someone in the family signing off on it.
