Has anyone sprayed cadre on them after the 6 leaf stage? Did it hurt them bad? They have gotten away from me and I need to spray

Spray
Spray but you will ding them
You can spray them up until about the time the head starts forming. I don't like spraying them that late but it has been done before. They might yellow a little but they will bounce back. If the head is starting to form it will greatly effect them.
I’ll let you know how tough sunflowers are in a few days. We screwed up yesterday and miscalculated the output on a sprayer and hit ours with about 8 oz to the acre. We either cleaned up the field or fried a lot of sunflowers.
Going to try and spray this afternoon
I hit mine yesterday. Some were just starting to bud. Last I can get over the top, and needed to get the clethodim out there bad, mixed in the cadre for the right side. I have seen it stunt them in the past, but time will tell.
The only thing that may save you is the sheer volume of moisture if it is at your farm.
But I would go ahead and plan on finding some "friends" to hunt with.
We sprayed right after we started getting rain. The spray ended up being closer to 5oz to the acre. Some of the dryer spots in the field suffered greatly. We have some bushes shoulder tall and others knee tall, all about to head out.
Yup, he's crazy...
like a fox. The dude may be coming in a little too hard and crazy but 90% of everything he says is correct.
Sort of like Toof. But way smarter.

I sprayed mine late. It was too dry before I went out of town, we got 6 inches of rain while I was gone, and they jumped 12 inches on me. I hit them with 5oz/acre and it yellowed the hell out of them, but they're still growing well. I figured with all the rain we've had they would've greened back up but they haven't so far. They're starting to form heads though so I supposed all is well. In the future though, I'll only spray 4oz to the acre, especially when they've got that much size to them.
And the smaller ones are yellow!
I had gone to the Lake after they were sprayed Friday am. I came back late Sunday evening, and noticed all the broad leaf stuff was doubled over.....
I thought then. We have screwed up!
