Based on this year's applications and acceptance rate, that 51% is way off. Success has a way of increasing demand.
USC enrolls over 40% more students, remove that number of students and things would be a lot different but that's not really the goal of the university. I always have to laugh when people brag about academics considering they spend thousands of dollars on football but not a dime giving to their schools in non-sports related avenues.
number of students enrolled is only part of the equation but I'm really tired of arguing math with people.
Its a great day to be a Tiger.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
My alma mater claims the overall number 32 spot. Thank God I got it when I did- don't know that I would make the cut these days. Glad to see the Tigers on the rise.

AOL also says Augustana College is in SC... (Click one past Clemson)
But I'm happy for the Tigers. The more smart kids in the state, the better off we are.
I wonder if that is actually the case...? I would be interested to know the breakdown of in-state students versus OOS and international? Also, how many are staying in SC after graduation? Nothing like our tax dollars educating a growing portion of the nation's guido population.
Edit, I found one site that said 31% of student population is OOS, don't know the merit of the site though. Also don't know if this includes international students. Found a Clemson publication that 7% of students are international. So SC residents make up 62% of the student population based on those stats.
