    Default They couldn't take it

I recovered these but lost two others on the ground. Got two at once while they were fighting. I'll get after them again tomorrow.

A tennis racquet will create inexpensive fun in situations like this.

If you want to get sporty, take a .22 pistol and some rat shot.

PS, I just ordered my pesticide. I been so busy I forgot to spray...... Bastards are coming out strong.

A weak BB gun is my weapon of choice. I rarely have a chance to recover any because the dogs are on them like white on rice.

My weapon of choice is a racquet ball racquet. When they get smart and stay just out of range, I switch to a tennis racquet.

I use an old tennis racket. As soon as they hit the ground, my two jack russells race to see who gets to eat them.

We use a butterfly net and then step on them.

I recently made some carpenter bee traps, but haven't had any takers, yet. Hopefully they'll start falling for them so I can stop dealing with the damage.

Has anyone figured out what, if anything, can be sprayed in to the existing holes to reinforce the joists? I've got years of tunnels in few that I'm beginning to wonder about.

    22. Pistol with rat shot is my preferred method.

I have killed an ass of them with the red Ryder over the years. I may be the best shot in Hopkins.

My traps work ok... have a couple hanging and they are sporadic about using them.

Tennis rackets are for cheaters. 22 with rat shot is even worse

My favorite to watch was a fellow who would sift out sand and shoot them shotgun style with a slingshot.

Traps are the ticket and easy to make, we catch hundreds per trap but they still leave enough b ball in the evenings.

I like to use the backside of my hand. That or a 3' 1x2. Makes for a good challenge.

I'm with Woodie on this one, backer stick all the way. By far the most sporting. Would be equivalent to killing geese with a slingshot.
