Ok, I have three of these traps.
Never trapped. Besides not getting my finger caught, how do I catch a coyote?

Either write things worth reading, or do things worth writing.
Ive toyed with it some. But I'll let the people that know more than me give you the details.
Some basics. You need some anchors. They make disposable anchors. Or you can anchor it to something nearby.
I would rust and dye the traps.
And as far as setting the traps Google dirt hole set. And order some type of lure.

Boil let sit waxed and then put them out
There are a lot of good video series out there with regard to trapping. There is a lot to it if you really want to be successful. The little I learned was from the trapper that lived with us when I worked for delta in college

That's not a yote trap. Need a 1.75 or ideally a #2. 1.5s are coon muskrat and mink traps
Seeing these soulless vanilla ice lookin Yankees on a bassboat is worse than watching a woman get her implants taken out. It's just wrong. Get back in your Lund and go back to infisherman.

Put confederate flags up on your property they'll murder the shit out of your coyotes.
Find an experienced coyote trapper and go with them. Way more goes into it than I could comprehend. If you educate them they are hard for the pros to catch. One thing I can tell you is a trapper loves to find a fresh roadkill deer. And watch out for bycatch, I've seen everything caught in them. A catchpole would be a nice addition to your traps.Hope you mop up as trapping is the only way to put a real dent in them.
MB550- make sure you bed it so there is no movement at all. Make sure dog on trap is on same side as anchor, rubber gloves leave no human odor. Don't use limbs and such to "lead" coyote to trap. Watch several youtube videos.
There are plenty of videos and how to on youtube. But you could start baiting them in and getting them comfortable right away. I started baiting for them with wood duck carcasses and had a few coming every night within a few days.

or MB550 with the offset jaws.
DT - I enjoy trapping coyotes. There is a hell of a lot more to it than one can type out in a post for you. It is a learning experience for sure. There are plenty of youtube videos out there from preparing your traps to setting them, etc. Chuck is correct in that Trapperman.com is a good resource also.
Good luck with it. It is addictive!
Check out F&T Fur Harvester's Trading Post online store. Great people to deal with.

I don't trap but from what I know it takes a good bit of time and skill to master, then check traps etc. finding a trapper that will share tips is sometimes like finding a duck hunter to take you to their hole and teach you how to call! Good luck I hope you kill every one of them.

I didn't find it difficult. Went to catching them right away after my first traps went in the ground. However I'm extremely successful at everything I put my mind to.
Seriously though you need to do a lot of research on it. Lots of videos on youtube. I studied it throughout a year before even attempting it.
