two weekends ago we spent 1/3 of our time just paddling/wading through shallow areas......even this high you could still find a few to hit though
it's 75.44 now. It was that high most of the spring.
Lake isn't high but if you look at those power poles, that is where the Santee Dam dove field is though. Its about 30' from the top of the bank to where the water level usually is.
wow
curious to see if i could even fathom how much water that is....4,795,084,800 sqft * 4.5 feet of water since this storm * 7.5 gallons in a cuft = 161,834,112,000 gallons of water!.....it'd take almost 250,000 olympic size pools to equal that
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I assume this is the same area on Google Maps? That's a lot of water...
yes, that's the same area
Correct
Yeah it's wide open, but we aren't even at flood stage.
There's still a pile of water coming our way, but I don't see it getting out of hand.
I'm holding on to hope that all this water will flush out in a couple weeks.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
