Silverado in my family. Wife drives it most if the time with the son. Plenty of room and a good ride quality as well.

The Tacoma isn't big enough
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him
He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right
They don't put Championship rings on smooth hands
The resale value on the silverado will be way up there if you ever decide to sell or trade. They don't lose value.
U serious Clark?
If you can swing it, Tundra. You just can't top Toyota reliability, IMO.

I love my '14 Chevy four door long bed. I have two kids 8 & 6 they have room to grow. It is good on gas, no issues at all as I drive almost 4k miles a month. I drove the '14 Ford four door liked it only selling point they had was front middle seat had a shoulder belt my Chevy does not. Chevy gave a better deal than ford and over all dealership treated me better.

Car seats are not meant for small trucks. My father in law has a Nissan and it blows. The Toyota lifetime warranty is strong IMO but if I was in the market I would buy a white 2015 Z71 crewcab.
Congrats on the kid

Gettin old is for pussies! AND MY NEW TRUE people say like Capt. Tom >>>>>>>>>/
"Wow, often imitated but never duplicated. No one can do it like the master. My hat is off to you DRDUCK!"
If you can swing it go with the Toyota Tundra. There are some dealers that are offering lifetime powertrain warranties that are above and beyond any factory warranty. That is hard to beat!
I would have said buy a chevrolet but there is no way I would go that route. I always liked the looks of the older Titans but the new ones don't do much for me.
My vote is for the Tundra.

How about the GMC Sierra 1500 crew cabs. Found a steal on a 2012 with low miles.

I love my 07 Tacoma Double Cab 4x4. Its a 6 speed manual, which is what I wanted. It just turned over 100,000 miles. I pull my Carolina Skiff 1965 dlx well but it doesn't get very good mileage when towing. I suspect a full size truck will be better for that. Overall its been a great and I don't regret buying it.
Love my old ass Tacoma but I priced the new ones and they aren't a hell of a lot less than an F-150 right now. Hard for me to justify the price for a truck that small that gets less MPG than a full size F-150 to boot.
Once you put a car seat in a Tacoma there isn't room for anything else. And they will kick the shit out of your seats all day long.
Tacomas are great but not really matching this stage of my life unfortunately.
