I'm confused.......we have a SPECIAL session of congress.

We get what appears to be a majority of 2 houses.

Are we voting on roads?

Are we voting on bettering the lives of SC?

Are we having a intellectual debate on raising or lowering taxes?

Is the issue being debated even a issue the actual voters of the state would approve of?

The answer to all of this is no no no no

Those who actually get to vote as so called representatives should have all recused themselves from the issue being they lost a colleague in a terrible tragedy that could effect they way their emotions now lead them.

The loudest voices calling for the houses to act are not even voters.....much less voters in this state.

My point, why are we wasting resources as a state for our congress to debate crap right
now?

This, is exactly how I feel!! Hurricanes, tornadoes, famine, disease, active shooters, terrorism all to me represent emergencies. A flag on a memorial does not. Ive said it before and I will say it again, a women in power will always factor in emotion during decision making more than men. THis decision was riding the wave of emotion from the get go.
