    Default 2005 gmc Z71?

Is there some type of float/stop in the gas tank where you fill it? Every time I fill my truck up it stops but runs all down the he side of the truck. Is this a truck issue with the angle or a pump issue. Just curious if there is a piece in the tank that is broke?

Sounds to me like the vent is clogged up. Shouldn't burp like that if the vent is working.

This.... Happens a lot on boats when the vent hose is kinked or stopped up.

If vent was clogged it would continue to cut pump off. If I understand the question correctly, the answer is no.
