    Default Vestibular

I came home Friday afternoon around 5 Pm And my 15 year old German wirehair came out of the bedroom falling down and couldn't hardly stand up with out falling over. I went in to panic mode. I thought she was having a stroke. My wife got home a few minutes later. She called our vet of almost 25 years and they wouldn't wait on us. Called a friend that's a Vet on James island and he told us he would wait. I just knew it was my best friends last day with me and I was torn up from the floor up. Dr Gipe looked at her and said it was Vestibular It's like Vertigo in people. He said that there was a very good chance she would get over it. Put her on some meds. It was pretty tough week end. Today she almost back to normal.

Glad she's doing better. It's hard watching them get old. Glad you found a vet that cared enough to wait and look at her.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
