    Default Tree Struck By Lightening

I've never seen this happen. I've seen a lot of trees that have been hit. Most times there's just a line of bark missing or peeled open down the side of the trunk. I was standing in the doorway looking directly at one in my yard one day when it got struck. I saw a line of bark blow off the side from the top down and the dirt just exploded in a straight line for about 4' out from the tree. Later when I went and looked at it the reason the dirt exploded was because the lightening followed one of the roots from the tree outward. Pretty wild. But this is crazy.

The Elites don't fear the tall nails, government possesses both the will and the means to crush those folks. What the Elites do fear (or should fear) are the quiet men and women, with low profiles, hard hearts, long memories, and detailed target folders for action as they choose.

How much hang time did you get? The few times I remember lightning hitting close to me, the flash and the incredible boom made me levitate.

Wow. Heavy spring sap flow? That is a whole new level of "basal bark treatment".

I'd love to have the bark off that bad boy for some cabinets.

    Cool stuff, Mergie.

I saw that once in Camden at the house next to the Jewish Temple. That bolt of lightning sent tree bark flying over 40ft. Pretty wild.
