I recently finished building a Black Brant III by Sam Devlin. I got the idea from the duck hunters boat page (great site). I bought the plans and built her myself. I did have a great time even though it was quite challenging working with epoxy. I took her out on the Friday of the first season to North/South Santee. It performed great. I need to dress it up with more swamp palms. I used bailing wire to attach them to the grass rails built on the boat. It is a layout duck skif designed to be hunted from the lying position. I'll have to work on that. You pop up and shoot while sitting which could be hard to do. A low profile boat is very different from what you normally see in SC. I'll post a picture when I figure out how.
