Barely had enough snow to track them good. Tracked a few this morning with no luck. Came back in to warm up. Went out while ago, found a hot track, but the bastard ran into head high briars before I could get the rifle on him. Shit, we needed more snow, some of it is already melting.

The trick is to move slow! All the ones I shot were under small cedars and small brush piles. If I had taken the shotgun I could have killed a couple more that jumped before I saw them bedded.
