    Default Glad it is over!

This has been my longest Duck Season ever and I'm worn out. I spent 29 days this season in Arkansas chasing these flying little bastards. I Have been through a lot of diesel fuel, airline miles, shells and 3 pair of waders.

It is now time to get back to the Honey-Do-List and the job. November will be here again before we know it.

Same here. Wife said she is glad to have me back. Everyday I was off I was on water. I work a 3-2-2-3 schedule. Gonna be nice to be a husband and father again. Best season yet. Learned so much and I'm already planning next years hunts.

My wife has been happy as hell all day, said she has been waiting for this day for 2 months. Time to find as many coveys as possible between now and March.

I'm not glad it's over. Saw more birds yesterday than all the rest of the season. At least we've got Youth Hunts next weekend.

Wish we had another 2 weeks. Seems the hard cold brought us some new birds. It was a good season though. Really enjoyed hunting with my sons. Picked up a couple new spots to hunt this year and still hunted some of the public spots I have been hunting since the 70's. Went back to one of the public spots this morning where it's been just me and one other boat hunting most of December and January. When I got there this morning there was already four boats in the water and gone. Haven't seen those trucks all season. I'll spend the next couple weeks scouting some new spots and starting on a project to expand one of the new spots for next year.
