nice work
but I admit i was waiting on the goldeneye pic as I read the story....
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
Congrats RH*. Even just 22 species in SC is an un-believeable feat to accomplish. You're one of my heros.
Man and other animals were first vegetarians; then Noah and his sons were given permission to eat meat: “every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you” Genesis 9:3
"A man may not care for golf and still be human, but the man who does not like to see, hunt, photograph or otherwise outwit birds or animals is hardly normal. He is supercivilized, and I for one do not know how to deal with him." Aldo Leopold

Good job.
The unforgivable crime is soft hitting. Do not hit at all if it can be avoided; but never hit softly.

Awesome
Nicely done sir
Nice work RH. Out of curiousity, what are you still missing from the list. If I were guessing, I'd say:
Barrow's Goldeneye
Black-bellied Whistling-Duck
Cinnamon Teal
Common Eider
Common Goldeneye
Fulvous Whistling-Duck
Harlequin Duck
King Eider
no
Ruddy Duck

See below including my belief on how difficult it'll be
Likely (killed every year somewhere in SC):
Black-bellied Whistling-Duck - Dendrocygna autumnalis
Common Goldeneye - Bucephala clangula
Long-tailed Duck - Clangula hyemalis
Difficult: (not even reliably seen every year)
Cinnamon Teal - Anas cyanoptera
Common Eider - Somateria mollissima
Common Merganser - Mergus merganser
Near Impossible: (very rare visitors to SC)
Barrow's Goldeneye - Bucephala islandica
Fulvous Whistling-Duck - Dendrocygna bicolor
King Eider - Somateria spectabilis
Illegal: (if one ends up in the decoys, I'll take a picture and count it)
Harlequin Duck - Histrionicus histrionicus

I might believe that there is a small population of Fulvous Tree Ducks in SC but, unless something changes, that population, if it exists, is very unhuntable.

I saw your common eider about 2 Weeks ago.

I Shot a common merg in a marsh pothole while teal hunting this year. Never even seen one before then.
The common merg can be done!!!
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL
Nice hunting RH.
Sorry I killed your tree duck.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
