    Default Wingshooting

Is what I've been waiting to do since the end of January.

So I started off dove season like this:

Opening day I shot a limit but they were digested so no pic.

September 6th I took the wifey out for an afternoon shoot in my cousins millet field. We wound up with 12, 2 of which she shot. We were both pretty pumped about her success!

The following day I was invited to a friends field for another eventful shoot that left me with a limit.

The afternoon of September 10th we got after some geese in a millet field. The biggest flock of birds were coming in and a candy apple red Chevrolet stopped on the road 100 yards behind us and flared them. We still killed a few though.

The following morning we found ourselves in a baled fescue field hunting more geese.

Finally, the wife works third shift so while she spent the day sleeping I took the opportunity to fight the boredom with another limit of gray rockets.

It's actually my dads. It has some minor rust on it and I'd love to have it re-blued for him for Christmas.

    Pet peeve-
I hate guns around the truck with a closed breech leaned against a surface where they can fall or be knocked over.
    Otherwise, good killin.

She may could have hit more if she had stood up in a better shooting stance.

You're hunting license should be revoked for leaning your shotgun against your tailgate. Shame on you!

Nothing gets by these guys. I know it may come as a surprise to you all but some people unload a weapon when they are done using it. Sorry for the poorly staged pic. Lol

Got after the dubs again yesterday, fell two shirt of a limit. Shot with my grandfathers Ithaca featherlight that probably hasn't been shot in ages. Damn fine shooting gun, oh and I opened the action for you this time scattershot.

That's a great pic, the action is open, tailgate full of birds, looks like a great day in the field. Congratulations!!

P.S. you need to clean the back of your truck.
